Creative Team

Directed by Emily Louizou
Music by Irene Skylakaki
Movement & Choreography by Ioli Filippakopoulou
Set & Costumes by Ismini Papaioannou

Cast

Charybdis - Hannah van der Westhuysen
Siren - Jazz Jenkins
Scylla/Clytemnestra - Kate Newman

My second collaboration with Emily and by far our most ambitious project. Based on The Odyssey, we took the stories of three of the female monsters in the story - The Siren, Scylla & Charybdis - and transposed their stories into an Underground Cabaret.
The result was a musical revenge-thriller mashup which was made magical by Emily's vision, Irene's music, Ioli's choreo and Ismini's incredible set and costumes (yes, I was basically the only non-Greek creative...).
This was also the most original writing I'd ever done until then so I was very grateful to the cast for their patience and skill as we put the show together.
